Our Mission : Honoring A Legend And inspiring Generations

The Dexter Grace Living Legends Foundation exists to honor the life and legacy of Dexter Grace by investing in youth roping clinics, youth sponsorship, and preserving the values of faith, family, hard work, and Western Heritage. Our mission is to create lasting impact through our youth mentorship and incentive program with recognition, and community—ensuring that legacy lives on through the lives we uplift along the way. Established in honor of Dexter Grace, a true living legend in championship tie-down roping, this foundation sponsors rodeos, tie down/calf roping events including jackpots and match ropings, saddles, entry fees, scholarships, and custom buckles to support and inspire future generations. His legacy lives on through opportunity, mentorship, and achievement.💙

Inspired by Dexter Grace’s Legacy, this buckle is awarded to the competitor with the fastest legal time in the arena. Winners are determined by skill, elite performance , consistency, time, and execution, while upholding the highest standards of sportsmanship, the highest level of competition and respect for the sport.💙

Legends Never Tie Down

Double OO, and Triple OOO Champions.

This Buckle is awarded to a competitor who demonstrates skill, control, consistency, effort, and strong sportsmanship in the arena. Winners are determined by fastest time. For seasoned or beginner calf ropers and some often referred to the Vets of Roping Rodeo Community.💙

Little Legends/ Youth Champion

Jr Champions (Ages 19 and under)

Inspired by Dexter Grace’s love for teaching youth, this buckle honors a young rider with the quickest catch, who represents the future of rodeo. It is awarded to a competitor who shows determination, coach ability, respect, and a true love for the sport.💙

Iron Rope

Little Legends/ Youth Champion

The Iron Rope buckle was created in memory of what many call one of Dexters greatest match ropings of all time where he matched world champions. That event represented more than competition — it stood for grit, toughness, determination, and the kind of cowboy spirit that refuses to quit. He embodied the word skill And real raw talent. Consistency in a match roping shows next level skill and talent.

The Iron Rope name was chosen because it symbolizes his strength under pressure, unbreakable character, and the bond between generations of ropers who carry this tradition forward. This buckle is more than an award — it is a tribute to a historic moment in roping for LEGENDS.

🏆 1st Place Tie-Down Roping Champion
🏅 Horsemanship Achievement Award Recipient

At just 16 years old, Jeffrey Hayes of Wharton, Texas, is already making his mark in the rodeo arena!

An 11th-grade student and member of the Texas High School Rodeo Association, Jeffrey began roping calves at the age of eight. What started as a childhood passion has grown into a dedication to the sport he loves.

Jeffrey credits much of his success to his father, who has continually pushed him to become better, along with the incredible support system surrounding him.

His hard work, determination, and horsemanship earned him not only 1st Place in Tie-Down Roping but also the prestigious Horsemanship Achievement Award. Then placing 2nd place, 2nd round in the Open Tie Down at the Dexter Grace Memorial Roping.

At the Dexter Grace Living Legends Foundation, we are proud to recognize young cowboys like Jeffrey who represent the future of rodeo.
